Examples of work include:
Estate Maintenance Management
One example of this is in providing a surveying consultancy to the Midlands Estate of British Waterways. The role involved the management of the planned and reactive maintenance across the estate implementing works in accordance with the Disability Discrimination Act (now the Equality Act) the preparation of an Asbestos Register for the varied properties on the estate. In addition the project management of capital schemes and design and contract administration on smaller projects.
Surveys
We have experience of undertaking stock condition surveys of large public estates. Some examples include:
Health - The diverse and complex sites managed by St Helier and Epsom NHS Trust
Education - All schools owned by Warwickshire County Council
Residential - Residential properties owned by The East Riding of Yorkshire Council
Each project involved managing and working with a team of professionals to survey and report on recommendations for upgrades regarding; condition - fire safety - health & safety - all works were costed.
Technical Reporting
Reporting on construction defects and scheduling appropriate repairs to tenanted properties for Nottingham County Council Housing Department.
Refurbishment
We have extensive experience of surveying / designing and undertaking the contract administration role for the refurbishment of residential properties for various Housing Associations located across the United Kingdom.
In addition to having the experience of undertaking pre-acquisition surveys and condition surveys we also have experience of Office fit-outs ranging from managing external refurbishment works on 1960s Government Offices to the survey and subsequent role of Employers Agent for the refurbishment of a significant Listed Building in New Town Edinburgh for The Royal Bank of Scotland.
